From Mexico — don’t lead with the round size. Ferry Health just came out of stealth with an agentic booking loop: find in-network providers, call the offices, book the visit. Logistics between insights and a real appointment — not Foundation biology grants, not a face-to-face avatar model.
Agentic booking — find, call, book
Per the company’s PR Newswire release and ferry.health: patients message Ferry; agents identify in-network options, call to check location, subspecialty fit, and availability, then book. All 50 U.S. states via partnerships with health systems, insurers, and care-navigation platforms — as Ferry states. Early customers also use it for imaging and home-health coordination. I’m sticking to scheduling logistics. No clinical efficacy claims.

$9M seed — a16z, Index, and co.
Ferry’s release puts the seed at $9 million from Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), Index Ventures, Avid Ventures, Layout Ventures, SV Angel, Box Group, and Asymmetric Capital, plus named angels. Founders: Mehul Mehta (CEO), Keyur Mehta, Andrew Buie.
Reach figures — company claims only
Per the PR, Ferry says more than one million patients have access today through partnerships, and it expects that to grow at least fivefold — to more than five million — by year end. Those are company claims in the PR. I’m labeling them, not treating them as audited enrollment.
My takeaway
From Mexico, the narrow read: Ferry’s $9M stealth launch is about agentic care logistics — in-network find → office call → booked visit — with a16z and Index among the backers, and 1M+/5M+ access figures staying labeled as company. Sources: PR Newswire, ferry.health.
