Buildots’ $130M bet on AI construction schedules

From Mexico — I’m reading the Monday Sep 14 raise: Buildots just locked $130M. Tel Aviv AI construction intelligence. Helmet / 360 jobsite video into a digital twin. Schedules + 3D models + computer vision. Not another Temporal headline. Not a CEO pacing essay. A control tower for builds that can’t slip.

FinSMEs says O.G. Venture Partners led, with Lightspeed, Intel Capital, Mohari Ventures, Human Capital, Qumra Capital, Avigdor Willenz, Viola Growth, and Poalim Equity in the round. Total funding now hits $297M. Use of funds: expand North America and EMEA portfolios, and push the platform harder.

Nearly $1B after a $300M Series D

Ctech puts the new valuation near $1B — nearly a quadrupling from the ~$300M mark on the prior ~$45M Series D in May 2025. Primary equity only, no secondary, no debt. Founders are Talpiot grads: Roy Danon (CEO), Yakir Sudry (CTO), Aviv Leibovici (CPO). Headcount is past 400 — about 260 in Israel, ~100 in the U.S., rest across Europe.

Company claim via Ctech: delays cut ~50%, roughly three months saved on schedules. I’m bookmarking that as a vendor claim, not my audit. Same piece names clients like Digital Realty, Intel, STO, JE Dunn, Mortenson, Bouygues, HOCHTIEF, plus Israeli builders. The AI data-center boom is the growth engine Danon keeps pointing at.

“The AI era will be built on schedule”

Construction Dive frames the same Monday announce: seven-figure multiyear contracts are the norm now, and the U.S. roster includes JE Dunn, Mortenson, STO, plus HOCHTIEF (Turner Construction’s parent). Danon’s line from the announcement, per Dive: “The AI era will be built on schedule.” That’s the hook I’m keeping.

From Mexico, my takeaway is narrow: $130M, O.G.-led, total $297M at a near-unicorn print, product is jobsite video → digital twin control tower, and the demand spike is data centers. Sources: FinSMEs, Ctech, Construction Dive.
