I’m not chasing another “we raised and the model is smarter” press dump. SciFin just walked out of stealth with $44 million and a sharper bet: for revenue teams, the bottleneck isn’t the LLM — it’s trusted context.
From Mexico, I’m reading the Sep 1 announce (still bouncing around Sep 5) as a founder who’s already built Nutanix and Cohesity pointing at RevOps pain he says he lived. Per the company post, the seed was co-led by Altimeter and Madrona, with Foundation Capital, S32, Zetta Ventures and others in the mix. Founded in 2024 by Mohit Aron.
The Context Gap, not another chatbot
SciFin names the problem the Context Gap — the distance between the information an org already has and the full picture leaders need when they decide. Aron’s line in the launch note: move from systems of record to systems of reality. “This isn’t a people problem. It is a context problem.”
In a SiliconANGLE interview (also walked through by Sentinel on Sep 5), Aron said there’s “way too much art and not enough science” in how revenue teams read pipelines — finance, forecasts, territories, customer conversations, ops — and that “the context has diverged from reality.” That matches what I’m seeing in messy GTM stacks: more tools, more meetings to reconstruct what the CRM already should know.
Pixie, specialist agents, no customer count
Pixie is the AI companion — named after Aron’s dog, per SiliconANGLE. Reach it via a chat-style web UI plus voice, email, and workplace chat; Sentinel lists Slack and Teams, SiliconANGLE also notes Slack and WhatsApp. Behind it, specialist agents keep refreshing a business context model from meetings and metrics so the picture doesn’t go stale.
Initial focus is revenue / go-to-market orgs — accounts, deals, forecasts, reps, territories, conversations — turning that maintained picture into answers, reports, and recommended actions (SciFin, San Francisco Post). Same day as the launch, Sentinel notes Empirik’s $21M and Aslan’s $20.8M agent rounds as market color — not my main story.
